What is your favorite tournament ?

The MasterCraft Pro is by far the most well run and exciting tournament of the year.

Which event do you favor the most ?

The Trick Event. 

Which of your accomplishments was the most satisfying ?

Winning my first World Overall title. 

Had any injuries ?

Not this year, thank God. I’ve had 3 broken arms, 2 Ribs and bit my tongue off.

What do you do now ?  Job ?  What keeps you busy ?

In the spring I was working for a commercial developer and will pick it up again in the fall. . 

World record in tricks, can you do it? When ?

I think I can and I have a run to do it. When is a great question. First I have to make it to a record tournament.  .

Whats up with jump ?

I know I can still jump far and sometimes I do. It used to be an event that I did not have to train for. I was in great shape from playing soccer and many other sports. Now I have a trainer, I cycle, and ski to stay in shape. I am trying to get back into it without getting hurt. It seems every time that I try and go 230 I crash.

We heard you crashed 1st jump at Team Trials ?

It was in the first round, third jump. Again I tried to go 230.

What are your goals for 2007?

Win the overall title at the World’s in Austria.

Do you do any other sports ?

I really got into cycling this year. I try to ride at least 200 miles a week.

You are on Team USA for the Worlds, what do you think of the Team ?

We will see what happens. As a team, we are weak in slalom and jump.

OK, 2007 World’s, predictions ?

Awww, I want to win the Overall event, plain and simple. 

Who do you look up to in the skiing world ?  Anyone you want to emulate ?

Well, waterskiing is a sport with way to many great people to list.

What music is on your mp3 player?

I hate my mp3 player. I have gone though three this year. I seem to get attached to the Jack Johnson style of music.

You were the World Overall champion in 2005, can you repeat it ?  And if so who is your competition?

The plan is to win 3 in a row. Jaret Llewellyn, Javier Julio, and Jason Seels are the major players. 

Public lakes or private lakes for pro competitions ?

Public. The skiing is bad but the fans know where we are skiing.

In your opinion, what will help our sport ?  Which event do you think people most enjoy watching ?

Simplicity. Our sport is very technical and I think if we can get tournaments run faster and smoother more skiers would be apt to compete

What are your goals beyond 2007 ?  Will we see you in 5-10 years still competing on the professional leve ?

When you get to the level that I am at it is very easy to take months off at a time and then get back on the water without missing a beat. I might not train as hard but I hope to compete for a very long time.
