The legendary team at Square One (maker of Radar) has done their homework. They have literally studied water skiing and come up with what they believe is the ultimate weapon in the slalom course. That weapon is the RS-1. The RS-1 is a wonderful blend of speed and stability. It's a fast ski, but it also lets you feel the water underneath you and allows you to adjust midcourse, if necessary. Designed with sharper-than-average bevels, the RS-1 holds a solid line with impressive tracking performance and effortless wake crossings. “The more still and quiet you are, the better it works,” says John Shealy. Less upper body movement and less physical input is required with the RS-1. It creates its own speed without excessive force. The ski will release outbound with slight movements of the body. Less is more when it comes to the RS-1, meaning more time on the water.
Keys to the RS-1:
• Light on the line; no need to slam the turn
• Quick across the course
• Finishing the turn only takes a slight bit of drive with the lower body/knees
• Very responsive to fin adjustments, so minute tweaks go a long way
