Over the past two years, Goode and two-time U.S. national champion Nick Parsons have been developing a new, unique breed of slalom ski. The result is the Goode 9900SL Wide Ride. This ski has a slightly widened fore body and tip to keep the ski up and carry speed throughout the turn. But with a change in design comes a slight modification in the way you must ride the ski. The ski tip may push up a bit more than you are used to, so you must push back on the ski. If you can handle that, then hold on, because
this ski will move quite nicely. “The ability to acquire width is exceptional,” comments John Horton. Because of the expanded width, you can ride a smaller ski than you're accustomed to. This allows skiers to scrap very well, as you can slalom a turn, if need be. The 9900SL Wide Ride keeps right on moving to the next buoy, ready for everything you can throw at it.
Keys to the 9900SL WIDE RIDE:
• More tip pressure is necessary with this ski: through the wakes, turns, everywhere
• Simple to manipulate in the turn
• Easy to ride - skis with less fatigue and stress on the skier's body
• Due to increased width, slower skiing is possible without sinking for practicing shorter line lengths
